House Of Cards
(Steve Kirk)
September 12, 2012
Steve Kirk, John Hanes and Andrew Higgins
The world is melodrome
Fool for thought
Whatever spell she had
Fell to not a word
To be heard
Evidence was a style withheld
Once, in a way of legaldom foretold
Born of shadows ‘cross the field
Take one feathered look-
What was the sight of her song in the marrow?
Another gaze, sapped of strength and
All too undone- in display, cast away
Each card to the ground and told all,
All was gone
The world is melodrome
Oh, food once thought
Whatever sell she had
Fell to not a word
To be heard

Producer_TripleMic_Sample

Here is a sound sample using the previously posted mic setup on the Producer amp:
The Lawson and Heil mic were both going through the Manley Dual Vocal Combo preamps, with a very conservative touch of limiting, and the Royer went through the AEA Ribbon Mic Pre. Recorded through a Black Lion Audio modified Digidesign 002 rack.
Rhythm electric is the CG1 guitar in the Producer "American" channel, instrument at full volume with the amp volume at about 2 o'clock, no bump.
Solo guitar is a Les Paul custom , instrument at full volume, "British" channel almost all the way up, no bump.
Acoustic guitar, Gibson WM-45 with 2 Michael Joly modified Octava MK-012 mics in XY stereo .pattern using the Manley DVC with limiting, high shelf eq boost and low shelf cut- all these setting fairly conservative.
